Microsoft is voluntarily blocking media that has been flagged by the broadcasters. So far this is only for Media center users but it could spread to other DVR's.

I had it in my hand last week, but then I started looking at the features. No BC, no rumble, and 40GB. I can wait a couple of months to pick one up. The MGS bundle looks to be a better deal.
Until then my 360 and Wii will keep me busy.

You have to realize that maybe the hype got to the reviewers as well. I don't get the chance to play all the games that I would like. So maybe if you review a bunch of games one that has the hype and has top notch story, voice acting, and legacy might influence your judgment. Reviewers are not GOD they are people. If you take their opinion as gospel then that's your fault. Buy what you want, play what you love, give up the hate and enjoy the golden age of video games.
All I had to do was look at the front page of his blog and that was enough for me. I remember this guy put out some crap list for worst game consoles. It was just him venting his hate for Sega. His logic was totally off base and he bashed several consoles for no reason other than his hate.
I didn't even bother reading this blog. Was one of the worst examples of fanboy blogging that I have read, and that is saying a lot.

I thought N4U comment was funny. It was poking fun at all the fanboy posts saying "this is the year". I think making fun of fanboys and their one sided views is much better than trying to reason with them.
Do you trust Microsoft? Do you trust Sony? Do you trust your girlfriend? Would you trust any M$ software to be secure? Do you still trust Sony after the rootkit debacle? Do you trust your gf to not slit your throat while you are sleeping because you stared at that girls huge boobs?
These are all questions we should ask ourselves. Questions that need answers.

You left out one other thing that the Wii beats the PS3 in... sales. Now it might drive you crazy that the Wii sells, but you have to look at the long term. More Wii sales = more people gaming. Little Johnny is being exposed to this great new thing called a Wii. Little Johnny grows up and still loves gaming. The more people exposed the more hardcore gamers there will be.
The release of GTA4 is going to sell more PS3's. I keep on telling myself I need to get one of those analyst jobs. To get paid for stating the obvious. Man I can have a lot of fun with that job. Oh and also GTA4 is going to sell more 360's. The only console that isn't going to sell more because of GTA is the Wii.
Oh the Wii really doesn't have anything to do with this article. But you will notice that these comment sections go off on wild tangents all the time so I hope you will give me a little leeway .
I disagree with you Jess. I think the Wii has found so much success because Nintendo has really tapped into something. As a hardcore gamer I don't nearly give my Wii as much love as I should, but it appeals to a much broader base than the 360 or PS3. My wife's friends have done some drunk...
the PS3 is not the current gen console that everybody wants and is waiting in line for. That distinction goes to the Nintendo Wii. I think both M$ and Sony should be embarrassed that they are being outsold by such an simple machine.
But hey next time your girl says that size doesn't matter you can relate to the Wii. The Wii is kicking ass and is a graphical weakling.
How Uwe keeps getting funding to make new movies. If it costs him $100 to make his movies and 20 people pay to see it he has just doubled his production costs. Then he goes to prospective investors and says "Hey I makes lots of money for you. Invest in me or I will beat you up in a boxing ring".

instead of having a boxing match they have a movie making match? Since that is their profession. It will be easy to determine the winner. Whoever makes the most net profit wins. I think it might be a closer match than most people think since MB regularly has +$200 mil budgets while Uwe movies look like they cost about $10.50 to make
